Early morning pickup from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe. Begin your scenic drive to western Uganda, passing rolling hills, tea plantations, and traditional villages. Enjoy a stop at the Equator for photos and a brief experiment demonstration before continuing to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Arrive in the afternoon for check-in at a budget safari lodge or campsite. If time allows, enjoy a short evening game drive to spot elephants, warthogs, Uganda kobs, and buffaloes.
Dinner and overnight at budget lodge.Wake up early for a sunrise game drive across the Kasenyi plains. This is the best time to spot predators such as lions and hyenas, as well as herds of elephants and antelopes grazing in the open savannah. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, famous for one of the highest concentrations of hippos in Africa. Expect close encounters with crocodiles, elephants on the shoreline, buffaloes cooling in the water, and a wide variety of bird species.
