This 3 Days Murchison Falls Safari offers an exciting blend of wildlife encounters, powerful waterfalls, chimpanzee tracking, and classic African game drives. Experience rhino tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, chimpanzee tracking in Budongo Forest, game drives in Murchison Falls National Park, a boat cruise on the Nile River, and a visit to the top of the iconic Murchison Falls.
Early morning pickup from Kampala or Entebbe and begin your journey to northwestern Uganda. Stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided rhino tracking experience on foot. Accompanied by a ranger, track white rhinos in their natural habitat Uganda's only place to see wild rhinos. Continue to Murchison Falls National Park, enjoying scenic countryside views along the way. Upon arrival, visit the Top of the Falls where the mighty River Nile squeezes through a narrow 7-meter gorge before plunging 43 meters below a breathtaking natural spectacle.
Dinner and overnight at safari lodge.Start the day with an early morning game drive across the northern sector of the park. Expect to see elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, Uganda kobs, hartebeests, and possibly leopards roaming the vast savannah plains. Return for breakfast and relaxation. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Victoria Nile toward the base of Murchison Falls. This cruise offers close sightings of hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, and numerous water birds along the riverbanks. The highlight is witnessing the powerful falls from the bottom a dramatic and unforgettable view.
Dinner and overnight at lodge.After early breakfast, head to Budongo Forest for chimpanzee tracking. Walk through the tropical rainforest guided by experienced rangers as you search for habituated chimpanzee families. Observe their playful behavior, feeding habits, and social interactions in their natural environment. After the forest experience, begin your return journey to Entebbe or Kampala with scenic stopovers. Drop off at your hotel or Entebbe International Airport for departure.
