This 6-day Uganda safari combines thrilling game drives, boat cruises, primate tracking, and authentic community interactions across western Uganda's most breathtaking destinations. Highlights include scenic transfers through Uganda's countryside and equator crossing, big game drives in Queen Elizabeth National Park, boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, chimpanzee tracking in Kibale National Park, cultural experiences with local communities, and stunning crater lakes and savannah landscapes.
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where you are welcomed by your professional safari guide. After a briefing, begin your scenic journey to western Uganda. Enjoy views of rolling hills, tea plantations, traditional homesteads, and stop at the Equator for photography and souvenir shopping. Continue toward your lodge near Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Dinner and overnight at safari lodge.Begin your day with an early morning game drive across the Kasenyi plains. Spot elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, warthogs, and possibly lions and leopards during this classic African wildlife safari. Return for lunch before heading for a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, one of Africa's densest concentrations of hippos. Enjoy close sightings of crocodiles, elephants along the shoreline, and numerous bird species.
Overnight at lodge.After breakfast, transfer to Kibale Forest region, passing crater lakes and scenic farmlands. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided community walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. Learn about local traditions, wetland conservation, and spot monkeys and colorful birds in this rich ecosystem.
Dinner and overnight near Kibale National Park.After early breakfast, head into the tropical rainforest of Kibale National Park for an unforgettable chimpanzee tracking experience. Trek through dense forest guided by expert rangers as you search for habituated chimpanzee families. Spend one hour observing their behaviors, social interactions, and feeding habits. After lunch, transfer to Lake Mburo region for overnight.
Overnight near Lake Mburo.Enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Mburo National Park, home to zebras, giraffes, impalas, elands, and buffaloes. Optional guided walking safari allows you to explore wildlife on foot with an armed ranger an intimate and thrilling safari experience. Relax at the lodge in the evening overlooking the scenic lake.
Overnight at Lake Mburo lodge.After breakfast, depart for Entebbe with a stop at the Equator for last minute photos and souvenir shopping. Arrive in Entebbe in time for your outbound flight, marking the end of your 6 Days Uganda Discovery Safari.
